Legal & Ethical training with complaints handling

It is essential that all members of the team fully understand legal and ethical issues and complaints handling within the dental environment.

Updated January 2021.

A GDC registrant must complete Legal & Ethical and Complaints Handling in every CPD cycle. This course ensures that you are fully up to date and comply with the GDC regulations.

This course provides 3 hours of enhanced CPD.

This course covers all the information required to meet the General Dental Council standards and covers the following:
  • The regulations and polices that are in place for the Mental Capacity Act and the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards.
  • The meaning of valid consent and the process for gaining valid consent.
  • The strategies to ensure confidentiality and when it might be broken.
  • GDPR
  • GDC standards
