Medical Emergency Training for Dental Practices
To comply with GDC Standards, all dental practices should carry out regular medical emergencies training, following guidance and training updates from the Resus Council.
To help dental employees remain compliant, we offer in-house medical emergency training for dental practices.
What to expect from our Medical Emergency Training
This one-day training course helps to equip dental nurses, receptionists and other dental teams with the skills they require, as well as outlining everyone’s roles, should an emergency occur.
Our medical emergencies in a dental practice course will teach the following skills:
- Emergency management and patient care.
- Treating burns.
- Managing and responding to seizures.
- Treating patients in shock.
- Using a defibrillator.
- And more.
Our medical emergencies training for dental practices can also be carried out in our Winnersh Training Centre, as well as in-house. Both sessions also include free AED (Automated External Defibrillator) training for all participants.
Upon completing the training, individuals at your dental practice will receive a 3-year first aid certificate for their medical emergencies training.
