I started dental nursing in 1980 (long before most of you were born) and whilst I loved the job, I felt I wanted more so I left dental nursing and worked my way up to become a director’s PA and Head of Human Resources. In 2000 I returned to dental nursing working in a general dental practice and in 2007 I started working at Cavity Dental Staff Agency as a temp.
In 2009, I was asked to help set up and run what was then Cavity Dental Training. I gained my Diploma in teaching, NEBDN courses in Radiography, Oral Health Education and Orthodontic Dental Nursing, Impression taking and fluoride application courses.
In October 2019 I purchased Cavity Dental Training and changed the name to Dental Training Ltd.
I always remember that for us to succeed we have to give 110% for our students and I firmly believe that your success is our success and my team will help you achieve your goals.
Tracy’s favourite course
I love all our courses, but I must admit, Forensics is my favourite as it is something I am very interested in – must be the blood thirsty person in me!
I have been tutoring since the early start of 2018 after 9 long joyful, and painful, years of nursing.
I qualified in 2010 and continued my training, gaining the National Certificate in Dental Radiography, Oral Health Education and Implant Nursing. I have many other qualifications which include Impression Taking, Sedation, Phlebotomy, Training, Educating & Assessing.
Working for DTL means I can share my skills, encourage and motivate others, and help them achieve further qualifications within the dental industry.
Always remember, knowledge is power and no one can take that away from you! The greatest pleasure in life is doing what others say you cannot do.
Director – Tutor of National Diploma and Oral Health Education
Many of you may recognise Sam as she used to work with Tracy before having her two beautiful daughters Jessica and Bethany. Sam is back and is now teaching her favourite courses – National Diploma and Oral Health Education
Tutor and Internal Moderator
I qualified as a dental nurse with Tracy over 10 years ago and thoroughly enjoyed my job, I continued to further my career by getting my national certificate in Radiography.
I then I took a break when I had my two lovely little boys and enjoyed being on mum duties at home.
I went back to work part time and then shortly found DTL which is a pleasure to work for. I internally moderate the papers to make sure that the team as well as our students are all working correctly to achieve their goals.
Since joining DTL I am furthering my knowledge in orthodontic nursing and training, educating and assessing so I can become a tutor.
I’m excited to join the Dental training Ltd team, although I’ve never worked within the dentistry field I previously worked as a manager for a large charity in my local area where I gained qualifications in Business Administration, Marketing, Social Media, Data Protection and Health and Safety. In my free time I’m mummy to two beautiful girls and one crazy dog! My hobbies include Reading, redecorating, doing fun designs on my nails and enjoying a cup of coffee in peace sometimes!
Alfie grew up in Hampstead, N.W. London, before qualifying in 1995 with B.D.S. from King’s College Hospital, London.

Alfie firmly believes in keeping up-to-date with the latest scientific evidence-based dentistry in order to offer the best treatment possible to his patients of all ages. He works as a general dental practitioner at The Wash Common Dental & Implant Centre Newbury.
I am Tracy’s husband and I have a very important job in making sure there is always tea and cake in the DTL office! I am a retired police officer and I make sure everything runs smoothly.
My job is to keep the website running as smooth as possible, and to fix it when Tracy breaks it.
What our customers say..
I’m so over the moon that I have passed my exam!!
Thank you so much for your help and support would definitely recommend you to other nurses and I’m definitely considering doing more courses through yourself
I think you and your team are amazing! And even if I had failed I would have been saying the same!!
A lot of information provided. I have a better understanding of advanced surgical procedures and implant components.
Interesting statistics. Good examples of symptoms to look out for and I love the idea of ‘was not brought’. Will use this moving forward.
“Thank you so much, Tracy. You have been amazing and a great help. I am so happy to have passed”
NEBDN Radiography student
I started the Implant Dental Nursing Course with Dental Training Ltd back in June 2021, and I’ve really enjoyed the journey, in particular Aimee, my tutor, and Tracy both with as a huge support, helping me and giving me the tools to help me along the way! I haven’t studied for a post qualification for a while so getting back in to disciplined learning and deadlines seemed a very scary task! The Pebblepad tool is excellent, although for me initially I found to tricky to navigate but Aimee and Tracy were on hand to help get me going.
Pebblepad has been a great asset to me and to the course, being able to dip in and out when I was mobile was great. I found myself using it at home in the evenings, at work and even out and about at the weekends! It was very easy to use for any length of time.
I feel much more confident discussing diet and OHI with patients. The course provided good information on lots of topics not just OHI.
I thoroughly enjoyed the course and was so pleased to receive my certificate. Looking to do more courses in the future with you . Thank you once again!
I found Forensic Odontology fascinating so I would be interested in doing a more in-depth course on this subject. All the core subjects are of interest to me.
Good refresher on general nursing and detailed information on impression material. Can’t wait to start taking impressions.
